How to give your Tattoo the Best Outcome.
- Take the protective dressing off after 2 to 3 hours.
- Touch your tattoo with clean hands only
- Wash the tattoo thoroughly with antibacterial soap and lukewarm water and pat dry it with clean towel, tissue or handkerchief. Continue doing this once a day for the first week after getting the tattoo.
- Apply ointment which is recommended by your tattoo artist to keep the area moist.
- Apply a thin coat of the ointment suggested to you by the artist, continue doing so for the next one week for at least twice a day.
- Please do not panic when you see excess Ink around your tattoo, just wash it as mentioned above, your tattoo should be visible and the extra cream should be wiped off gently.
- Do not go Gyming for 3 to 4 weeks.
- Discontinue the ointment and switch to a thin coat of mild moisturizer after a week and keep the tattoo as moist as possible for at least 2 weeks.
- Avoid itching, scratching or picking on the scabs during this period.
- Keep out of direct sunlight. Do your very best not to expose your new tattoo to direct sunlight for up to 1 month after getting it, and especially during that 14 day period. Sunlight will burn the delicate skin and cause fading.
- Until your tattoo is fully healed, you should avoid swimming in a pool, the sea, or soaking in the tub for at least 2 weeks. "Exposing your tattoo to too much water may draw ink out of your skin and damage the tattoos appearance.
- Your tattoo post healing completely tones down 3 tones and will look a little lighter from the time its done, so do not Panic, that’s how tattoos heal.
